The characterisation factor is determined by an equivalency method using CO2 as a
reference.

Equivalency factor

The GWP for PM10 was determined to 8.54 in section "PM10 impact on YOLL"

Calculation of characterisation factor

The characterisation factor for CO2 with respect to NEX was determined to 1.26E14 per kg CO2. Thus we obtain the characterisation factor for PM10 to 8.54*1.26E14 = - 1.08E-13 NEX per kg PM10.
